Gelderland, The Netherlands
The Gelderse Achterhoek is one of the most beautiful natural areas in the Netherlands, which you can explore on foot or by bike. Woods, meadows, small villages, vineyards and a scattering of castles set the scene for this varied area. It is located far from the commotion of daily life and yet is still close to interesting places such as the historic Hanseatic towns of Deventer and Zutphen, the royal town of Apeldoorn and the shopping town of Arnhem. You can do pretty much everything you can imagine in the Achterhoek!
