By car
Travel via Groningen and Winsum or Leeuwarden and Dokkum to Lauwersoog, from where ferries depart for Schiermonnikoog. Leave your car in the paid car park at Lauwersoog, as it is not allowed on the island.* When you have arrived at Schiermonnikoog, buses and taxis are waiting to take you to Landal Vitamaris.
By public transport
If you want to go to Landal Vitamaris by public transportation then it is best to fly to Schiphol Airport and then take the train to the central station in Groningen or Leeuwarden. The travel time from Schiphol Airport to Groningen or Leeuwarden station takes around two hours and thirty-six minutes. Next you take bus 50 from Leeuwarden or 163 from Groningen in the direction of the ferry-boat pier in Lauwersoog. The ferry-boat departs from there to Schiermonnikoog.
Take a bus for Badweg or Vitamaris – these stop outside the complex. By bicycle, follow the signs for the village ("het dorp"). Take the first turning on the right towards the village, passing the football field. At the intersection, turn right into Langestreek. By the post office ("postkantoor"), turn right. This brings onto Badweg. Landal Vitamaris is 500 metres along, on your right.

- Boat: € 12,05 return ticket
- Bus island: € 2,30 return ticket
- Taxi island: € 6,50 return ticket
From the ferry-boat pier on Schiermonnikoog you can take a taxi; this takes more or less 10 minutes. The taxi fare is +/- € 6.50.
